Beyond their leadership roles at Intellectual Ventures, IV executives are often asked to share their personal insights in the realms of intellectual property, science and leadership. Recently, IV’s Nathan Myhrvold and Adriane Brown both spoke with members of the press on issues ranging from the evolution of patent licensing, to the role of mentorship in team building:

  • This morning, IV’s CEO, Nathan Myhrvold, was the featured speaker at the Pacific Science Center’s 9th Annual Foundations of Science Breakfast. Nathan spoke to a capacity crowd, discussing such topics as his vision for the future of nuclear energy, and his perspective on controversies surrounding the patent licensing industry. Nathan’s talk was covered by local press including TechFlashXconomy and Geekwire, which also posted a video of Nathan’s thoughts of public perception around the IP industry.
  • Adriane Brown, IV’s President and COO, was recently profiled in the New York Times “The Boss” section and Black Enterprise Magazine. Both pieces discuss Adriane’s philosophy on leadership and team building, cultivated during her tenure at Intellectual Ventures and previously as CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems. Adriane was also recently acknowledged by The Root in honor of Women’s History Month in its list of 20 accomplished black women who rose to CEO in their careers.
