Intellectual Ventures Files Infringment Complaint Against Huntington Bank

Today, Intellectual Ventures filed a patent infringement complaint against Huntington Bank in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Despite attempts at productive licensing discussions, we were not able to reach an agreement with this bank and as a result, we have filed a patent infringement complaint to stop the unlicensed use of our patents.

Our goal is to reach a licensing agreement, but we have a responsibility to our current customers and investors to defend our assets against companies who use them without a license. We continue to pursue licensing discussions with other financial services companies, and remain open to licensing discussions with Huntington Bank.
