Intellectual Ventures Announces Silicon Labs as Newest Licensee

July 2, 2012 AUSTIN, Texas and BELLEVUE, Wash.

Intellectual Ventures (IV®) and Silicon Laboratories Inc. (NASDAQ: SLAB), a leader in high-performance, analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), announced today that they have entered into an intellectual property license agreement providing Silicon Labs with access to the majority of IV’s extensive patent portfolio.

Silicon Labs joins Intellectual Ventures’ more than 30 industry-leading customers around the world that recognize the value of a strong IP strategy. In addition to traditional IP licensing deals, companies can work with IV's in-house inventors as well as its network of more than 3,000 inventors in 10 countries around the world to solve near-term technical issues and invent the technologies that will differentiate their next-generation products from the competition.
