Who We Support
Asia Intellectual Property Exchange Council (AIPEC)
AIPEC’s mission is to advance Asia towards the creation of a viable technology and innovation exchange market. As the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, its industry and professional network connects intellectual property owners, brokers, licensing companies, valuation firms, IP consultants, and service providers including legal, banking, and financial firms. IV participates in the building of this market through our membership in the organization, and our sponsorship of the AIPEC Summit.
Expanding Your Horizons
The Expanding Your Horizons Network is a nonprofit membership organization of educators, scientists, mathematicians, parents, community leaders, and government and corporate representatives. Their mission is to nurture girls' interest in pursuing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers through hands-on opportunities. IV is the proud host of several conferences in the Seattle and Bellevue, where our employee volunteers assist as STEM role models to middle and high school girls, motivating them to be innovative and creative thinkers.
FIRST-Washington
FIRST is not just a robotics competition. It’s a program that inspires young people to discover the excitement and rewards of science and technology while building valuable life skills including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Of Washington’s more than 100 high school teams, IV’s employees mentored six in and around the Seattle area—helping local students learn the business of invention first-hand.
Global Women’s Innovation Network (WIN)
GlobalWIN is a not-for-profit that provides a forum for women executives and thought leaders in academia, government, and business with a passion for innovation to help advance critical policy issues. In addition, the organization is dedicated to helping women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields access resources and broaden their network. As a corporate sponsor, IV supports this important mission.
Information Technology & Innovation Foundation (ITIF)
As a non-partisan research and educational institute—think tank—ITIF helps policy makers at the federal and state levels better understand the nature of today’s growing innovation economy and the types of public policies needed to drive innovation, productivity, and broad-based prosperity. ITIF recognizes the vital role of technology and focuses on digital economy issues.
Institute for Systems Biology (ISB)
ISB is a nonprofit research organization where scientific collaboration takes place across disciplines to answer challenging questions related to health and the environment. In closing the gap between the future and now, ISB is paving the way for major scientific and medical achievements. With goals aligned to our own, it’s no wonder that IV chooses to support and attend ISB’s Annual Symposium.
IP Business Congress (IPBC)
The IPBC is a forum for senior thought leaders who specialize in the business of intellectual property and understand that it is a crucial strategic asset. At this event, top-level executives from the corporate, political, advisory, and financial sectors discuss cutting-edge IP value creation issues. IV is proud to sponsor the event and also participates in a speaker capacity.
Pacific Science Center
Looking to get inspired by a lifelong interest in science, math, and technology? The Pacific Science Center fuels tomorrow’s innovations by igniting curiosity and creative thinking, and IV is excited to be a part of that mission. Our support goes toward the Discovery Corp--a program that helps high school students gain experience and expertise in science careers--and events such as the Seattle Science Festival. Our engagement also includes a board position for our President and COO Adriane Brown.
STEMconnector
STEMconnector is a collaboration of companies, nonprofit associations, professional leaders, and STEM-related organizations—all of which are concerned with STEM education and innovation in the U.S. As a STEMconnector sponsor, IV is joining the organization in linking all things related to science, technology, engineering, and math. IV and STEMconnector are working together to build a national community that values STEM education and innovation. TechAmerica Foundation
The Foundation’s mission is to promote technology-led ideas that advance economic growth and U.S. competitiveness, and educate executives, policymakers, press, opinion leaders, and the public. The Foundation disseminates industry, policy, and market research and organizes conferences to explore pertinent issues with government and industry representatives. IV is proud to sponsor the David Packard Medal of Achievement & Innovators Award, honoring significant contributions to the advancement of the high-tech industry.
Technology Alliance
The Technology Alliance is a statewide, nonprofit organization of leaders from Washington’s technology-based businesses and institutions dedicated to the state’s long-term economic success. Through programs, research, and policy activities, the Technology Alliance mobilizes support for the key drivers of a vibrant innovation economy. As a board member, David Kris, IV’s general counsel, offers strategic direction and resources to support the organization’s work.
Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA)
WTIA promotes Washington state as a desirable community to start and grow successful technology companies. From networking with peers to continuing education offerings and advocacy for public policy to job opportunities, WTIA is the place to connect with Washington’s technology industry. As one of 800 members, IV participates in the community and the conversation.
