IV Welcomes Another Licensing Customer

May 31, 2011

This morning we added another major tech company to our roster of licensing customers. Micron Technology, Inc. is one of the world’s leading inventors and producers of memory and semiconductor technologies, and it’s also the last remaining US-based manufacturer of DRAM (a type of memory for computers, video games and all sorts of electronic devices).

A lesser-known fact about Micron is that it’s also an intellectual property powerhouse with tens of thousands of patents to its name. It’s apparent that Micron values invention and intellectual property, and that’s exactly why it’s the type of company we value having as a customer. Micron now has access to our portfolio of more than 30,000 IP assets, and both companies also have the option to buy patents from each other.

Why does Micron, a company with its own vast patent portfolio, want to work with IV? Read the press release for more details.
