Intellectual Ventures® (IV) today announced that for personal reasons Andy Elder has resigned his position as executive vice president of Global Licensing. Elder plans to concentrate his time and attention on his family and personal interests. He will be leaving IV at the end of April 2014.
Leslie Canning and Cory Van Arsdale will assume joint responsibility to lead Global Licensing, effective immediately, reporting to Adriane Brown, IV president and chief operating officer. With Canning’s strong sales leadership and management skills and Van Arsdale’s deep deal and intellectual property expertise, the two will lead the Global Licensing organization through new phases of growth with customers that recognize patents are important to their success.
“Andy has made many valuable contributions during his time at Intellectual Ventures and he will be missed. I want to thank Andy for his leadership and wish him every success in the future,” said Brown.
