IV Partners with McMaster University

September 27, 2011

Today we announced a partnership with McMaster University, one of Canada’s leading research institutions. This agreement provides McMaster’s faculty members with access to IV’s unique technical, legal and financial expertise, and ultimately an efficient path to commercialize their inventions on a global scale. IV will also be able to invest in the groundbreaking work of McMaster faculty members in fields like next generation data centers, medical systems and sustainable chemistry. McMaster will retain ownership of the resulting patents, while IV will receive a license to monetize them.

As part of the agreement, McMaster will also join IV’s global network of more than 400 other leading research universities and 3,000 individual inventors as part of our Invention Development Fund (IDF). Together with IV and this global invention network, McMaster faculty members can work to develop new invention ideas that address market opportunities that require a unique pairing of knowledge and resources.

For representatives of other universities which might be interested in partnering with IV, please contact us at info@intven.com.
