Taking Action to Protect Inventors’ Rights

June 13, 2011

Last week, we shared our concern that the rights of inventors are at risk. Now it’s time to act—The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on H.R. 1249, the America Invents Act, which currently includes unfair exceptions for big banks and financial services companies at the expense of America’s inventors and the businesses they represent.

If you want to defeat special interests, ask your representative to join Republicans and Democrats who, as reported by The Hill, call the “Transitional Program for Covered Business Method Patents (Section 18)” provision in the America Invents Act “a special new bailout at the expense of inventors and the American taxpayer.”

Contact your representative today, tell them you believe in American innovation and ask them to say no to Section 18.
