With December quickly coming to a close, we’re both reflective of the past 12 months and very much looking forward to the new year ahead. We’re excited to see all that 2016 will hold for global invention but also thrilled about some of the amazing things 2015 had in store for Intellectual Ventures. In our last post for the year, we’re taking a look back through some of this year’s highlights featured on the Insights blog.
- We officially unveiled the new IV Lab, more than 87,000 square feet of research facilities dedicated to helping global invention thrive.
- Lowell Wood officially became America’s most prolific inventor.
- IV Treasurer Christy Barwick and her team won the U.S. Treasury’s Adam Smith Award for Best Financing Solution.
- The Arktek made lives better across Africa as a part of vaccine trials against Ebola (featured here in a PBS Newshour segment).
- Peter Detkin wrote the highly shared blog post, “Welcome Google. Seriously.”
- Edward Jung, IV founder and CTO, discussed the importance of “Funding Innovation for the Long Haul.”
- We debuted the new series, “Behind the Breakthrough” and highlighted the work of amazing scientists and inventors like Mike Manion.
- MIT awarded IV President and COO Adriane Brown the MLK Leadership Award.
